Its in need of paint and a few misc things but its complete and the interior is nearly perfect.
Who knows how long Ill have it, probably at least until I paint it.
I know, its not a Mach 1, but its still a cool old classic, reminds me of my high school days.
When I was a kid I was such a trouble maker my Dad offered to buy me a Vette if I could keep all of my grades to at least a B. SCo_hmmthink
UM it never happened Confused

Should be a bit of fun
Man...the car looks good and I like that tilt wheel. There are really some nice cars out your way. You don't see them that clean here in CT. And just think, now you don't have to work hard to maintain that B average and you could still cause trouble Biggrin

Thanks for pictures!
Sign0175 WOW LOOK IT'S A PLASTIC CHIVY!!!!!. You know why they call them Shiver lays??? Cause Ford leaves them out in the cold! Another one, What did Father Ford say to Mother Chevrolet. I DON'T "RECALL" !!! In all honesty It don't look to bad. Just my thoughts. But it ain't no Mach1! JTS 71 Mach1

All I can say really is after driving it around for the last 2 days, woman love this car. I'm serious its amazing, I don't know what they'll do once its painted! 23_30_106 I cant tell my wife she'll make me dump it. Biggrin

The 65 Mustang is in the body shop now getting ready for paint.
Doing this stuff is a ton of work and all the little parts really can add up, but I cant wait until I get it back.
After removing the vinyl top I was relieved not to bad under it, the guys say sometimes when you take the vinyl off the rust can be so bad its expensive to make right.
I just got my Shelby lower valance in and my Shelby Cobra hood today. Let the painting begin, hopefully in about 2 weeks it will be done.

The car looks good and you will even like it better once the Shelby hood and valance are installed and painted. As far as women...they know what the like!

What color are you going to paint it and are you going to put another vinyl top on or paint it? I can't wait to see the finished product! Also, have you decided on rims yet?

The 65 will be Viper Blue and Im doing white Shelby stripes.
If you look at my signature you will see what the 65 has for wheels. I might change them, but with 2 projects going at the same time, the Torque Thrust will probably have to be it for now, they are brand new so they will be fine for now. Frankly if the paint turns out well, which I think it will, then Im going to determine how long I keep it. The vinyl top is not going back on the car. It has a cool look with the vinyl but after seeing what it does to the top over time has made me decide its not in the best interest of the cars longevity.
