I'm looking for a power steering pump for a 1969 Mach 1. It must include the reservoir. I ordered one from Laurel Mountain Mustang and the one they sent has the return line fitting facing straight out the back of the housing.
My existing pump has the return line fitting facing down. The guy at LMM said that the early 1970 Mach 1 had the pump with the fitting facing down.
What drives me nuts is that parts companies don't post photos of the pump from the front and back. This is the second time this has happened to me with a power steering pump (the previous time was 2 months ago on my wife's 71 GS).
Given that it's not a pressure line, I was hoping that perhaps I could just use the current pump, but that will push the return line into the headers and oil sending unit.
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks,
Hutch
