I bought my 2003 Mach 1 (Azure Blue) with 15,000 miles. It's beautiful. It's a manual shift, looks brand new. I'm excited to be the new owner of this car and look forward to joining the club.

Hi there from Los Angeles.
I've got a question for you, what kind of oil do you recommend?
The brand and weight please.

Thanks
Kacee
Well in these newer engines I've pretty much. changed my opinion and gone to the manufactures recommendation. Oils have come a long way over the last 50-60 years and are so ahead of the old stuff. Engines have also advanced. With tighter tolerences and everything form balance shafts to dual cams and lots of chains. all of which puts a lot of stress on an oil. I personally am using Ford synthetic blend Motor oil in my 08 Mustang in the 5w-30 weight. My thought is you get the benifits of a synthetic, longer life/7500 mile oil changes "Ford recommended" and the cheaper price virtually the same as conventional oil. So it's a win win. I would simply use the weight recommended for your car. Unless you just want to pay for a full synthetic then I would probably go with a Castrol Brand oil in the correct weight. Just my thoughts.
