New member, son has recently purchased as Red H code 72 Mach 1 which will be his driver. Not as familiar with the 71 - 72's as I am with the 70 Mustangs. Initially just assessing the car and what we need / want to do with it. No pix yet, probably sometime next month. Looks mostly original, but there is work to be done.

GLC
Welcome to the group. should be a great father/son project. Lots of info and help here.
Welcome GLC,

Great to have you here with us.

I am a previous 69 owner and currently a 73 owner. One can't go wrong either way!
WELCOME AND GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEW PROJECT
Hi GLC...welcome to the site. Please keep us updated on your initial assessment and your strategy to get this car driving again.

We are going to start by making a daily driver out of it while parts are collected to clean it up and at least make it more presentable. Right now as time allows just going over things finding what is wrong, then what can be fixed easy and what needs significant work or outside help. We know we have transmission work to do as the trans cooler at the radiator failed, we have fluid in the water and noticed fluid pushing out the trans dipstick. Awaiting a new radiator before we go much further on this front as we want to isolate the systems and troubleshoot them better.
