I decided to give up my 2000 Chevy High Top Conversion Van. All four kids were driving or just learning and my wife had just bought a Tahoe the year before that would hold the whole family, so I thought I would downsize and traded this in for the Mach 1 in 2006.

What did you give up for your Mach?

WOW....Your Mach 1 could fit in the front seat of that tank Roflmao1

I don't have a pic. of mine.
It was a 89 mustang, 5.0, LX. All stock and I would still have it if it was not such a RUST BUCKET.
Other than the rust, it was a great car. It still ran great with 175,xxx miles on it.
Nice Van, love the custom plate!

Lets see what did I have to give up for my Mach 1?

I bought this Fairlane used in 1970 for $1500. It had a 302 with a 3 on the tree. I traded it in on my R code Mach 1 in July, 1972.

Nice Fairlane, but I bet your glad you did the trade.

Ok you guys are going to force me to scan in some of my old pre-digital pictures.

Well get to scanning! This could really turn into a cool topic. I wish I had some to, but Ive never been a camera guy until about the last 5 years. Im sure some of the girls I dated had some of me and my older cars, but all my x's live in Texas Roflmao1
I sold my 1969 Mach1 ;(

I honestly don't know how I could sell a car like that. I have my 80 Trans Am I'm trying to sell and Ive turned down cash close to my asking price. My wife says I really don't want to sell it. Maybe shes right.

You put so much time into these restorations its hard to say goodbye. I'm just starting on the Mach 1 but I already know its not going anywhere for awhile, or until I'm close to death. Laughing

I mean if they were pounding on the door to take my house maybe Id be more willing.
[attachment=674][attachment=675] The white 4X4 was to big to drive around London, so that went and the blue Timeless conversion came, but that was to big to get in the garage, so now the Mach 1 live there.
I've never traded a car before. Really I have never sold a car either LOL Only cars I have gotten rid of was winter beaters and lets just say when I got rid of them no one else wanted them LMAO!!!!

The day before I purchased the 70 I was on my way to Ottawa to look at a 4x4 truck. Well the truck was JUNK which I guess was a good thing cause if it wasn't I wouldn't have bought the 70 :) Guess everything happens for a reason
