I recently bought a 72 mach 1 but the heater hoses are not installed can anyone post a pic of the location wre it comes off the intake
Here is a picture of a 72 Convertible 351 I took at a car show. It may help you a little.

I checked my factory manuals for 73's but there was not a picture showing the heater hoses. Good luck, I'm sure someone here on the site can help you!

Thanks for the pic, but I guess my main question is, does the heater hoses need go in a certian way or does the water circulate in any direction
ken72 I don't necessarily know the mechanical aspect of how the heater works, but I have a 72 that is untouched so I will get you some photos today or tomorrow to help you out. Hopefully once you figure this out you will post the correct answers so we can have an archive of the heater!
Hope this helps. If not just tell me what you need.

My front end is pretty torn apart right now, but I do believe these heater hoses are nearly original, cant be for sure as my heater does not work.

Nice pictures at the heater core but KEN72 probably also needs to know where each hose connects at the other end by the water pump. When the water circulates you need to make sure the hottest water goes through the heater core first. Probably the one with the heater control valve spliced in the hose is the hottest water; where does it connect at the other end?

Sorry I can't help any further my 73 is a straight six! Sadcry
Thanks Rare Pony you are correct I need the location were the hot water enters the core I am going to look at a 73 for sale maybe i can get my infomation
