My 72 Mach 1 is solid, but needs alot of detail work for me to be satisfied. One such item is the gas cap, the lens is cracked and crazed & part of the black background is MIA. After a recent $4000 dental bill, money is tight right now. In the long run I want to install a 71 style "pop open' gas cap. For now though I did a cheapo repair of my existing cap. First I downloaded an image of an old style Cobra Jet sticker, then I resized it & printed it out on self adhesive paper. Final, after carefully cutting it out, I applied the decal to my gas cap. I temporarily sealed it with strong clear packing tape. If I decide I like it enough I'll re-print it at photo quality and seal it with spray on clear sealer. It looks ok at 10 ft. Let me know what you think.
