my car is a Q code 351 4v with California emissions. All stock with cast 4v intake, but missing the original Autolite Carb. It has a Carter AFB on it now with a square bore adapter plate - any ideas on a good carb that will fit this intake correctly? Or should I just go with an aluminum intake? I prefer to appear all stock.
Is it a spread bore type manifold or square bore?

I picked up a correct Motorcraft 4300 Carb at the Portland swap meet last weekend, I am going to give it a try. I also picked up a Weiand 4v single plane intake as another option.
