A 1970 Mach 1, nom, black/black, r code, concours restoration sold for $43,000. This seems like an amazingly low price! It was a no reserve auction. Very high level resto job. It has been on the market for quite some time. Is this an anomaly or is it a true representation of current vintage car market values? Opinions?
Without seeing photos of the car and assuming it is a true concours resto, Id say that is a pretty fair price.
Just a guess based on the auctions I have watched on TV, I'd say it's about the going price in today's market if it's a nut & bolt restoration.
The nom motor on a concours resto kills the value.

Id say your correct to a point. If the motor is the same year etc.. Some wont even give that part a thought. The bottom line is the quality of the resto.
