Well here it is.

What do you all think.
I believe someone put in a 302 small block or it looks like maybe a windsor but I havent seen the car in person yet.
Supposedly an M code.

Here she is:
To early to tell, it looks like a good prospect, but I learned to be careful of cars that are primered. As the old saying goes a coat of paint hides a multitude of sin, so does a nice coat of primer! It makes us overlook the obvious. Take a good hard look, after all it is a 70 Mach and they don't make them any more! 578254 JTS 71 Mach1 FYI In case ther are someout there that don't know. Ford small blocks are all Windsor's from the 221-260-289-302-331-351. they are typically known as small blocks. the 351W got the nickname Windsor to differentiate it from the 351 Cleveland. but all Ford small blocks are from Windsor Ontario Canada engine plant thus the designation, and Cleveland Ohio engine plant. for the Clevelands which includes the 351C 351M and the 400.

I am trading my really nice boat for it.
I hope I did ok.

It needs the following:
new gas tank needed
new fuel lines needed
brake lines need replacement.
missing passengers seat.
missing passengers door mirror
missing a spare tire and wheel.
missing all brackets and pullys and fan and fan shroud.
battery tray missing
needs engine bay wiring harness.
needs mach 1 chrome strips that go around honeycomb panel.
Missing Mach 1 clad moulding.
missing all marker lights
missing console
Needs floorpans replaced..Torqueboxes framerails are great.

Positives are:
It has a new set of nine inch rebuild kit and gears that are in a set for the car.
It is a real Mach 1
It is dry and stored inside
has good outer sheetmetal
Has power steering
was an original A/C car
the guy has most all of the parts in boxes.

For a 15 year old son of mine I figure that he has plenty of time to work on it and get it running. He just turned 15 a few days ago.Hairpull
I have alot of photos but I dont know how to reduce the data size yet to within my alloted attachment size limit for posting.A110103_confused_prv

How really nice a boat are we talking??? Laughing JTS 71 Mach1
Its a nice older boat that I have sank about $4,200 - 4,600 into it.

My 82 year old dad owned it.
Not a bad looking boat. Seems like it might be a far trade. If it feels good do it! Only you can make a call like that Good Luck! JTS 71 Mach1
Mine had most of the parts in boxes too....Only took about 10 grand to replace the missing stuff, lol

Don you and many others have decidedly convinced me that the costs outweigh the benefits of it all.

I think il wait and find another a few years from now and buy a better one with more money of course but a better longer return on investment.

Plus Id better hold out for a refinance on my home anyhow.
The interest rates are great right now.

Thanks guys.
