This is a crazy question but I want to ask it because they make anything these days....I have a 19 month old with 2nd one on the way, obviously since my son had been born the car hasnt been driven as much....does anyone know if they make car seats for Mach 1s? I am just itching to take a cruise with my son and get the car out more often! Thank you!
Back in the early 90's I used a car seat in my 73 convertible for my two kids. I believe it was one of those grey Fisher Price car seats. It was held in by the rear seat belt. Not sure what the safetly requirements are today!
As far as I know baby or infant car seats are universal.

That being so, it is a matter of proper anchoring. Your normal two point attachments are handled by the lap seat belt and a third point is normally supplies by the seat manufacturer to anchor pulling to the rear of the car. Once the seat is in the car locate that third site and use a factory bolt or create a new one.

Remember while driving that you have the most precious cargo that can be entrusted anyone the privilege of transporting and drive defensively.

All the best in giving your son the memories of a lifetime, viewing life from the back seat of a Mach 1!
What year is your car? The newer Mach's (03-04) may have an anchor point built in for the strip, which should clip into the anchor point. If you have an older car like me, you would need to either just use the lap belt, or make your own anchor point in the trunk area.

I have three boys, ages 3, 5, and 8. I've only taken the two older boys in a Mustang ride in my 69 so far. My 8 year old doesn't need a seat anymore, and my 5 year old only needs a booster seat.

I haven't tried putting a baby seat in for my 3 year old yet. I'll have to take a look at that.
