I have been fighting with my Emergency Brake cable for days. I am sure that I have it routed correctly through the frame rail and torq box, but I am about 6-9" off of meeting where the two rear cables meet.

I am pretty sure everything it hooks to was never removed during the restore. I also googled it an someone else was asking the same question with the same problem however, no one replied. The two rear cables are new. Also if I remove the cables from the brackets that hold them on the rear frame rail it will reach. At a loss.. any help will be very appreciated. Pictures or anything? As always, Thanks!
Where did the cables come from Shane I have had some aftermarket ones that were made incorrect.
Jim,

They came from Oreilly's. Maybe that's my problem. Are your cables coming out of your rear drums pretty bowed? Mine are and are just touching up against the rear shocks.
Im sure they dont touch the shocks.Ill look tomorrow.
Thanks

Is it possible you have the backing plates on the wrong side.Just asking.
just a thought but did you check to see if the brake lever inside the car might have gotten pushed down?
The brake lever is up I installed that as well, but your right you never know.

Jim,

I am pretty sure the backing plates are on the right sides. I bet you were right earlier, I bet the cable is wrong. I need to measure it, it should be 133in long. Also hate to drive you nuts asking, but any luck on that other pulley? Thanks again!
