When I bought my car the console was not secured to the body so I have no idea how the supports install would anyone have any pics of the supports installed or maybe give me some advice how to position them?

Although the picture does not help my cause I would like to thank you for your responce. Here are pictures of the supports in question.
The problem is I do not know where they install to secure the console in the picture link you sent me. The bigger of the two attaches to the dash somehow the smaller secures the console somewhere in the middle of the console and i guess secures to the floor.

If I remember correctly the larger part is a stiffener and goes under the console and is fastened to the console only just forward of the ashtray. And I think the smaller one goes at the back of the pocket that holds the seatbelts. Neither bracket is used to secure the console. The console is secured only by the screws in the lower edge of the console into the transmission tunnel. Sorry I don't have a picture of the underside of the console.

I was suggesting that
Cal-Mustang might be able to help since they supply 69-70 console parts.
The last picture of this listing for a console shows the under side of the console. The smaller bracket provides support and is captured by two screws in the lower part of the console. Good luck with your project.

Ive been experiencing that exact same issue lately myself.
Just so happens I have the console out of my 69 Mach 1 at the moment.
I have identified the U-shaped bracket but not the other one - not sure where that goes.
See pics - let me know if you need me to investigate more!
