i just purchased a california manufactured 1-owner 1970 Mach I. i want to replace the stock steel rims with a Magnum 500 wheel kit. should i go with the 15x7 (i think 4 1/4 backspacing) or the 15x8 (with 4 1/2 backspacing). tx in advance for your help. -JA
If it were mine I would go with the 15x8's. The bigger wheels just look better to me. However it also depends on what your wanting out of the car. Welcome to the club!

thanks for the response. am worried about the backspacing issues, do you know if the 15x8 will fit?

also, it is a completely stock 100% original one-owner car. it has 351 Cleveland 2V and am of thinking of converting it to a 4v, 4bbl carb and maybe a light cam (of course i'd keep the orig setup), a.) what setup would you recommend and b.) where's the best place to get it? any help greatly appreciated and tx in advance. - JA

p.s. will post pictures soon..
