Hello everyone, I am new to this site and want to introduce myself and my car... My name is Frank and I am a proud owner of my new car that I intend to perform a nut and bolt restoration. Its a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 428 CJ Cobra Jet. Right now the car is a project car and is at the beginning stages of its restoration. I join this site in hopes to help find help and more information to make my fun project easier and enjoyable. If anyone would know any places where I can buy good quality parts for my car that either you had a great experience with or is someone you know any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I hope to get to know you all better

Welcome to the site! It sounds like you found a great 69 to restore. I'm sure you will find some great info here. Post up some pictures when you get a chance.
Welcome Frank!

Glad to have you join with us. We would be honored to help in any way that we can.

As far as recommendations for parts Don Whitt at : http://www.ohiomustang.com/ Don is always ready to help and will give you an honest answer of the parts available from each company. From what I have heard he also tries to carry/sell the best rather than the cheapest import.

I have ordered from him with no problems and actually spoke to him today for some advice.

Anyway, all the best. Post some pictures of your ride when you can as we never seem to be able to get enough.
Thanks so much for the welcoming... I took some pictures of the car but not sure how to post them... I hope I did it right by clicking on the attachment button.... anyway if not I will try again. Thanks for the information Steven that is awesome, I will definitely take advantage of view the website.

Thanks, will do...I will take more picture as it starts getting restored
Hey everyone, just wanted to give you all an update on the progress of my project car... Well first I had to decide if i was going to do a thoroughbred or a concours restoration and i decided that it would be a lot easier to find reproduction parts then finding used or nos parts and because my car needs a lot of work with replacing panels, I decided that a full concours restoration was the way to go... After tearing apart the car, I just received all my parts that I ordered from a local parts dealer and now the fun begins... As soon as I get the car back together I will start posting pictures of it as promised. Hope I don't run into any problems and everything goes smooth... Biggrin
Looking forward to the updates!
Keep the progress reports and pictures coming!

Hey everyone, I have not been on for so long and I apologize its been such a busy few months and I just don't know where the time went. But anyway I just wanted to let you all know that I have done a lot of work to my mustang since the last time I posted. I actually end up replacing a lot more panels on this car then I first anticipated. I actually replaced some panels just to make the car look like it just came out of the showroom. I have taken so many pictures and I will be posting them as soon as i can. Its nice to post again and I will try to post more often

Frank
