I have been wondering what rear end gears i have and what differential so i ordered a Marti report and quite happy.

Yup still has the 3 speed.
Going to do a differant color. Won't be a true mach color but want to be differant. I am looking at the bonneville black cherry. I ordered some and have an old truck that i will paint a door or fender to see how it looks. I have seen pictures of the color but might be differant in person.
So does the report pretty much match what you have now or have many changes been made? I'll proabably get the report sometime in the future for my 73 Convert, but I have some other priorities now.
It just looks like paint,tires and radio have been changed.
This is only my opinion and obviously you gotta make the car your own, but if you have any thought in the back of your mind for "collector value" down the line, I would really think about changing a color to something other than what it came with.
Just my opinion. Ive watched that show "Whats My Car Worth" and one of the biggest dings Ive ever seen them harp on is not original color.
The Mach 1 is going up in value every year. The 71-73 once considered the step child of the Mustang is suddenly being reconsidered as valuable.
Especially if any of your '71 machs are maroon or black. Total black '71's were around 2,600. Coupe, conv. and fastback combined. Same with maroon - a scarce color. Approx. 2,600 coupe, conv. and fastback combined. No black cars after '71. Not sure about maroon. When's the last time anyone has seen a factory maroon mach?
I have thought long and hard about color,still have time, but do know this won't be the only mustang i redo.
It,s nice to know that my love for the 71/73 mustangs @ mach1s isn,t in vane . To so many of us it,s personal . Until I found this sit I felt all alone on my mach 1 . For every one of you young and old alike it seemed almost hopeless to try to find replacement anything . This group gives us hope to keep something alive . I feel we have P R I D E . To so many of us our car or cars is family . Our family our hope our dream and to me you can never put any price because Their priceless to all of us .
