Well its been a little bit so i figured i post some progress from the last couple times i have been home from work.
I have it pretty well torn down. I just have the rear axle still on. That is so when i get back from work the next time i can get it on the trailer and get it up to my shop where i will continue to do the resto work.

The last time i was home i disassembled the front suspension, took the engine out and started to sand.
This time home i took all the disassembled parts and engine up to my shop along with all the new parts i ordered that came in and finished the sanding. The pictures still show some paint but i finished it all this morning. All i have to do now is do the engine bay and underneath.
Still not sure how to tackle that yet. It still has all the original black gunk on it. I think i might have the engine bay and undercarriage sand blasted.
Next time home i will start on the floor pans and hopefully repairing the quarters

Thanks for the progress pics. Looks like you have come a long way and your doing it right!
Have you looked in that cowl with a flashlight toward each side yet?
Don

The only spot in the cowls is on the passenger side. I can do all the fab from inside car. There was a mouse nest tucked up in there. If it hadn't been for that they would have been perfect.Crazy
Thanks Matt for the progress pictures. The car looks to be coming along greatly.

Did you use a sand blaster to clean up the inner fenders? I would think that sand blasting would be the way to go for the engine bay and the rest of the under carriage. My son and I did sand blasting on his engine bay and it came out great - no rust though.
Great progress keep up the the good work.Look forward to seeing the progress.
Steven

I haven't done anything to the inner fenders yet. I need to replace a section of the outer on both sides towards the back or the whole thing.
Once i get the car up to the shop i will get the rear end out so i am able to get to them.
If i replace the whole outer section i will probably just wire wheel the inner part.
