Doe,s anyone have any idea about the new electrical power rack and pinion that is in the new 2011 mustang or Shelby . What was said is there is a 200 lb weight savings in the car to make it handle much better . How does the rack work , can it be used in any other mustang in the first gen mustang . I hope someone takes a look into the 71/73 mustangs . What is the cost for the complete unit with controler as well as how to install it . C.L. SSig_help
I cant answer this one I'm only new enough to 2006 Laughing A 2011 I dont even let myself dream, well maybe a little the 5.0 motor is awesome.
I spent quite a bit of time on rhis one on the net last night and came up empty sorry.

I found out that TRW doe,s make the electric power rack for ford as well as some others . The reason is to save fuel by not having a pump on the motor . The main part is on the upper steering columm . I don,t think you can buy this yet !! C.L. Wave
