Mach 1 Club

This maybe off base but here goes . I own a odd 73 mach 1 .Color code body is 4q dark green metallic , Interior 4b bright green gold ploy . Body code is o5 mach 1 . My problem is this color on the inside is not a mach 1 color . But this is on the ford interior chart for 1973 that list all the makes colors in the ford line up . The interior is very plain @no lay down back seat . Does any one know or have an idea . C.L.

Weird - As far as I know, avacado was the only green interior available in '73. I'll have to look into this one.

All of my books show
interior codes
71 had some with number and letter
all 72 and 73 had letter and letter
73 colors had alvacado and dark green

I have the Marti report on my car but thought it would be an added extra to have genuine Ford material as well. I called Ford customer service and requested a build sheet and data and just received a phone call this morning confirming my request. What a great group of people! Either way you'll know what you should actually have. The Marti report will come quicker but will also cost a few dollars.

If you have the 1973 Mustang sales brochure it shows pictures of two different shades of green on different pages. The brochure does not give the color codes though. I'll try to scan the pages later and post up.

The green interior on page 9 in the Grande appears to be a lighter color than the picture on page 11. It is more noticable in my original brochure than the pictures in the link. Hope this helps.

I have my original that came with the car, but they do pop up on eBay often. Make sure you get the one that is Mustang only; it has a gold cover. Some of them have Pinto, Maverick, Mustang, etc together.
