Well still in the beginning chapters of my novel on this restoration. Thought I would post a couple of picks from the raod trip to Atlanta this weekend to pick up the Mach 1 body shell. I am glad to say it is now rust free. Time to start on the real work now! I will get some close up photos of the sheetmetal work in the coming days. Here is a list of what was repaired or replaced:

-Front clip - Front torque boxes, toe boards, front frame rails, all aprons, shock towers
-Full length floor pans
-Seat bases
-1 - rear rail
-Trunk floor
- Inner and Outer wheelhouses
- Door jams at quarter
- Some cowl patching
- Both quarter panels
- Trunk drop offs

I am very please with the workmanship of the welding. I will keep the forum on progress as I move forward. My plans are to next Lizard Skin the interior for sound insulation. I cut out a section of the trunk floor above the gas tank to get the original color of the paint applied to the undercarriage. It is black with a slight hint of green that I will duplicate and paint the undercarriage. From their it is onto engine bay painting, installing brake and fuel lines and detailing and reassembling suspension. This will give me about a year to research for a good quality body man and painter. Look forward to keeping everyone updated on progress.

Thanks for the update and pics. Looks like your making great progress.
Great dedication - looks really good. I will be looking forward to seeing the details take form as you progress in the build. Let us now what works and what doesn't. What you liked and what you wouldn't do again. All good pointers for the rest of us with our current or future projects.
