Thursday I sold my 1973 Mach 1 and my 1973 Fastback parts car. Both needed extensive work but were my hopes for the future. I decided to put them up for sale in hopes to take that money and buy another one some day in a little better condition thus working my way into a nice car someday. I did not have to wait long. Friday I drove to Phoenix and purchased a super clean 1973 Mach 1 and a 1971 351C 2V Grande parts car to go with it. The Mach 1 is a project but only the motor accessories need put back on and a transmission installed. The Grande is a running car. But talk about a super clean Mach 1 - WOW! I'll try to increase my computer ability and post some pictures in a few days. No plans to dismantle a perfectly good Grande, anyone interested?
Awesome! Awesome
Yes, I am blessed indeed!
Here are a few pictures of the new cars.
There seems to be interest out there in the market for the Grande's. Let us know what it goes for if you sell it.
I will. I have not even actually got it in my possession (still in the previous owner's storage) and I have two bites. A neighbor saw me pull in my new Mach 1 and asked what I did with the other and is now anxious to see the Grande. My brother-in-law might also be interested. Anyway, I'll let you all know how it all goes.
Nice !!!!!!!!

the parts car doesn't look so bad right !?

Does the Mach1 need a lot of TLC ??
What was the original color , and are you planning to restore it ??

kind regards,

John Broer
Mach 1 JB,

No work needed, the Mach 1 is in great shape. The original color is bright yellow, the current white is 20+ years old. The car has had an inside life. For those that get to brag about all the panels they replaced, I get to brag of the fact that all of mine are original! I do not plan to restore it to concours original - more like "Day Two" status. It is an "H" code so I will upgrade the power to "Q" code. I have a 1970 4V for the future but will currently run what I have. The previous owner was evidently going to "restore" the car and had begun to disassemble it and parts have gone missing - hence the parts car. I like the yellow, I just finished building a 1970 Maverick with my son the same color but personally want to go Medium Gold Yellow on this one.

The 71 Grande parts car is way to good to part out. I am looking for the parts that I am missing in hopes that I can leave the "parts car" alone and pass it on complete to another owner.
Looks good !!! I had a 71 coupe that was a great car,but I like my Mach's that I owned more.

Mike
I love the yellow (gold) black color combo such as the one (Steven Harris) has posted. LOL They are truely classic Mach 1 colors. Be sure to post pics when it is done.

Have fun and good luck,
Keith
