Okay friends,

Found a great deal on some 71 Door Shells and front fenders. I need to get them shipped quickly and need to get a good estimate on the weight for shipping. Does anyone have or know of the weight for a 71 door shell (no interior parts) and a fender? Thank you

No clue man. Hopefully someone knows that answer since I'm sure someone would want to know.

Here's an eBay ad selling a door that he has pick up only on. So I would assume its heavy.

I once sent a door from a 71 Camaro via Greyhound bus and I did everything to package it well including building a complete box. When the door arrived it was heavily damaged. Guy said he wouldn't do that again as it was a waste of his time even though the door was insured. But he needed the door not his money back.

Brian, Just going on "muscle memory" I'd guess a stripped door weighs about 30 pounds, a fender about 15. Just a guess. Cheapest truck freight shipping I've found so far is through Freight Center. It is a clearing house for most freight lines.
