1970 Mach1 Standard Equipments
** 351-2V (Windsor or Cleveland)
The 351- 2V remained as the standard Mach1 power plant.

** 3 Speed manual transmission

** Non-functional hood scoop
The non-functional hood scoop is standard with 351-2V & 4V and 428 (Q) code engine.

** Shaker hood
The shaker hood is standard with 428 ® code engine. Optional with 351-2V & 351- 4V.

** Twist-type hood latches

** Special grille with unique driving lamps

** Mach1 hood treatments
The 1970 Mach1 hood features a wide, paint stripe down the center of the hood, either low-gloss black or white depending upon the body color. A thinner tape stripe surrounds the large stripe. The engine size is inserted into the stripe on each side of the hood scoop.

** Dual color-keyed racing mirrors

** Aluminium rocker panel molding
Unique to the 1970 Mach1. The charcoal moldings are finned and feature die-cast " MACH1 " lettering on the front fender.

** Wide deck lid tape stripe
Either black or white depending upon the body color, with die-cast " MACH1 " centered on the rear of the deck lid.

** Black honeycomb rear panel applique

** Pop-open gas cap

** Chrome oval exhaust extensions
With 351- 4V or 428 engine only.

** Sports wheelcovers
Simulated mag-type.

** E70x14 WSW belted tires
F70x14 RWL belted tires with 428 engines.

** Competition suspension
Higher rate front and rear springs. High capacity shock absorbers. Large diameter front stabilizer bar. Rear stabilizer bar.

Mach1 Interior:

** Special Mach1 bucket seats
Mach1 seats are knitted vinyl with horizontal pleats like the 1969 Mach1 buckets. However, the stripe at the top of the seat back insert is color-keyed to the interior instead of the '69 red stripe.

** Deluxe 3-spoke Rim-Blow steering wheel
Steering wheel with simulated wood-grain rim.

** Special color-keyed carpet

** Console
With simulated wood-grain trim.

** Molded door panels

** Simulated wood-grain instrument panel appliques
With Mach1 emblem on the passenger side.

Mounted in the passenger side instrument panel.

For kicks and grins here is the window sticker off my 70 Sportsroof that I owned back in the 70's. It was well loaded with a 351, competition suspension, quick ratio steering, etc., but a bit of a sleeper as a plain sportsroof.
