Do you drive a 2011 model year Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX, Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450 or F-550? If so, you may be hearing from Ford in the very near future, as the automaker has announced a recall on certain vehicles built over a six day period. At issue is a potentially faulty body control manual that can short out internally and create a potential fire risk.
Ford dealers will begin notifying customers before the 10th of January, and dealers will inspect the body control unit and replace if necessary. Only units used within a six day manufacturing period are subject to recall, but you may want to get your vehicle inspected anyway. Customers with questions or concerns can reach Ford’s customer service hotline at (866) 436-7332.
