In it, you see a car thief tie a series of cans to the rear bumper of a car; when the driver gets in and pulls away, the racket causes her to stop and get out to inspect the situation. You can see what’s coming next: the thief jumps into the running car, making off with the woman’s car and her purse. If he’s really an over-achiever, he’ll stop by her house on the way home for a quick clean-out of her electronics and jewelry. I’d have to say it isn’t a bad haul for just a few minutes of work and material scrounged from a recycling bin. Best of all (for him at least), there’s no weapon or physical force involved, which would probably reduce the charges if he’s caught.

A little situational awareness would have gone a long way in helping this woman keep her car, her purse, the keys to her house and everything else in the car, so just remember to be aware of your surroundings at all times.
