I have in my possession a 1973 Mach 1 351 clevland the whole nine. The problem is I have no idea where to go or turn next. I've had the engine completely fixed up and she purrs like a kitten(on heavy roids). Sadly her body is horrible. My dilemma is I don't know what would be best from a cost standpoint. What would be less expensive but still make her look like a beauty. Should I have all the dings and rust fixed up and fix her body or would it be better to get a whole new body and if so where should I get my parts so she looks like the beast she is. Can anyone give me an idea on how much I will probably spend

Also I'm toe between 2 looks. The original ford blue which is the cars original color or remaking elenor from the original gone in 60 seconds
I think it comes down to what your wanting with the car. Originality may put some Benjamins in your pocket down the road, and if you go with a resto mod it to could do the same.

Either way your going to spend. So you need to determine what you really want from this Mach 1.

I'm a die hard original type but you probably cant go wrong either way, just whatever you do, do it right.

Welcome to the Club either way! Welcome2
I lean towards going with all original like I have done with my 73 Convertible, but I've seen some restomods that turned out nice. The restomod market prices appear to be comparable to the original cars if done right. I don't believe you can get a whole new body yet for the 71 to 73's. You could keep your body as is and have the look of the original Eleanor at the end of the movie (just kidding). Good luck with whatever way to choose to go and post up some pics.
