This article I found on the net, my concern that at some point this website might not be around anymore I wanted to be sure this was preserved for future restorers. If you want to see the site I got this information from please CLICK HERE.

We all hear of those rare barn cars found after sitting for years. Well I found this car on June 22nd 2006 less than three miles from my home. The owner, Joe Weikman, bought her in 1980 with the intentions of restoring it however it spent most of this time in his barn.

As soon as the registration was transferred, I ordered the Eminger invoice for this vehicle from Marti Auto. Kevin Marti now owns all of the 1968-73 Ford factory invoices and computer records allowing him to produce a report featuring all of the options delivered with this car. Marti is also licensed by Ford to produce replacement door, buck and engine tags.

The report from Marti shows that the car was built in Dearborn on July 9th, 1971 and was delivered to Ridgehill Ford in Galt (Cambridge) with a 429 Ram Air Super Cobra Jet/Drag Pack option. It was also fitted with the 3:91 Traction-Lock differential, 4 speed close ratio transmission, and painted Grabber Yellow with White Clarion Knit/Corinthian Vinyl interior. (note the car was originally a Grabber Yellow (5W) and repainted Blue in 1980. Joe dyed the white interior black)

Here's a You Tube video of the engine being fired up for the first time and then run on the Dyno.

Awesome! Awesome article. Thank you for capturing it for the Mach 1 community.
If only all barn finds were this good a shape and rare. Fantastic find and restoration and I love the color. Goodpost
That was an enjoyable read.SSig_nicethread
Why couldnt I find that.I had a friend who had 20 acres of old mustangs and mopars till the county made him get rid of them what screwing he took.I wished I had room for them he told me to take my pick and get it out of here and at the time I lived in town and had no where to store them or I would have had all the fastbacks I could stand.Must have not been in the cards.
Lots of detail, good save.
I am very glad to see how much time and care was taken to show the love and care it takes just to bring the car back to the mach 1 is . this will help me on my 73 mach 1 . I am just at the start thanks . C .L.
