Surfing around I came across this and was awestruck

Generally I am a slave to traditions but I think this might be the coolest Mach 1 paint job I've ever seen.

I emailed the owner. He said it was a custom job from a shop in Alabama because he was tired of hearing so many people come up to him and say "Cool, I used to have a car JUST LIKE THAT." Now nobody does.

Little does he know the gears in my heads are slowly creaking in motion.

Of course I'd have to get past this whole vinyl top thing but we'll worry about logistics later. SCo_hmmthink
I guess it all depends on what your goal is, on the other hand, make the car what you want it to be, but keep in mind a non factory paint scheme could hurt the selling price down the line.

Ah skip the side pipes SCo_hmmthink
Yeah but mine already is a non-factory paint job. They didn't make black in 72.... Also this has been my dream car for nearly 20 years so resell is the furthest thing from my mind at the moment.

I think the biggest thing to consider is how hard it will be to get rid of the vinyl top. I''m not a huge fan.
Paint job looks nice but not a fan of the side pipes either
I agree. Sidepipes are lame.
Looks great get it and show us more pictures Laughing
