Thanks for the Shifter rod descriptions!! Does anyone know about using a cable as an alternative to these shifter rods? Not sure, but I think they can be found on the following site and are called kickdown cables?

Great pictures! Do you have pictures and/or dimensions for the 72, C-6 kick down rod? I need to find one.

Chuck isn't the second photo ('72-'73) the rod you need?
