Interesting article but I take great exception to their description of the headlight bezels being bright metal. The basic 73 Mustang Grill did have the bright metal headlight bezels, but the Mach 1's and the Mustangs with the Exterior Decor Option (including Honeycomb Grill) had the blacked out headlight bezels. The Mach 1 in the picture has the wrong headlight bezels! Here is the proper headlight bezels for the 73's with the Honeycomb grill:

Don't get me started on that not even close to original paint on the hood that goes all the way onto the front trim piece. Arggghhhhhh
So, should I remove this article? I dont have a 73 so since you guys seem to know more is this article so inaccurate it should be removed?

Good looking out guys!
I wouldn't remove the article. It just shows that there are a lot of owners with the common afliction of ATDS... that's more commonly known as Attention To Detail Syndrome. It's rarely fatal, but it does have it's side affects. Some sufferers have been known to spend hours on retoring a part that they could have bought reproduced for less than $5. It's just what we do.
My ATDS was off a little bit in my first post, the Blue Mach 1 also has the wrong wheels for the 73 model year! Rofl2

'73 4-speed shifter is the same as the '72 (round shifter and knob) '70-'71 had the rectangular-shaped shifter and T-handle.

any one know exactly what all the differances are between the '73 fastback and the '73 mach?

Vintagespeed - that is a hard one as either could have MANY options

You would need to compare base 302 cars of the same year as it changes between the years too.

I think the basics for 71 -3 were
hood
sport mirrors
wheel covers
grille
rear honeycomb panel
carpet
stripes - could be deleted in 71 - 2

71-2
front bumper
hood and fender extensions
comp suspension
Exh cut outs in the valance on 351 4V and 429 cars

73
blacked out headlight doors

Also, '73 ram-air cars were 351-2v only - no 4v cars as stated.
