Do you own a 2010 model year Dodge Nitro, Dodge Ram 1500, Jeep Liberty or Jeep Wrangler? If so, heads up: Chrysler has put a sales halt on these vehicles and is in the process of initiating a recall. The affected vehicles have a brake master cylinder component that can seep brake fluid, resulting in a loss of braking ability. Roughly 22,000 vehicles are affected by this latest recall, which is independent from an earlier recall of Jeep Wranglers for brake line rubbing on fender linings.
The recall is expected to begin in August, but owners with questions or concerns can contact Chrysler’s customer service hotline at (800) 992-1997.
