There are some things in life that are just plain nasty and in my opinion maggots are one of them. Seeing one of them up close is no big deal, but when you make friends with a couple of thousand of them, well… things tend to change. On a recent U.S. Airways flight from Atlanta, Georgia to Charlotte, North Carolina passenger Donna Abramo also got up close with these little guys when they began to fall out of the overhead compartment and onto her head.
Apparently some jackass decided to stuff a nice hunk of rotting meat in their carry-on, but when the meat began to leak so did the maggots. Once it was confirmed that there were stowaways on board the plane was turned around and headed back to Charlotte. I am sure this experience will be freaking poor Donna out for quite some time.
