Hi to all the mach owners! I myself have owned my Mach for 31 years It was the first car I ever bought..I purchased the car in July of 1979...Fast foward to now & I Just pulled the car about a month ago from a shop that had it for 6 years & never finished the work that was contracted. Having been in the auto body business for 25 years but retired from it 10 years ago, I decided to come out of ab retirement & do the car my self. I'm in desperete need of some measurements since I never took any of the sheetmetal off. Guys I need some serious help & I hope I've come to the right place ! I have a site I just put up to pretty much video document the process & help other people who may want to tackle some serious a/b work on their own cars. The site is here
http://www.saturdaymorninggarage.com/

I will post up some pics of the measurements I need later.

Thanks 72 mach ! Appricate the help & I intend to post new videos every week if i can..Theres a few issues I need to resolve in order to really get cranking on this. The shop that I sent the car to for the structural work installed the rear frame rail sections in the wrong postion (height) even thou I gave them the chassis spec sheet & told them to put the car up on the frame machine clamp it down & measure measure measure! On top of that the inner & outer wheel house on the drivers side appears to be also not installed in the correct postion...The real burner is that they went ahead & welded up the nos left quarter panel without even fitting the rear glass (I never gave them the rear glass ) I can tell after some mock panel fitting that the quarter is also not in the correct postion..So I need to get the quarter off...remove both wheelhouses & start over...Oh and they never used any weld through primer on any of the parts. So to start I really need the measurements in the enclosed posted pics. Thanks again for the help i greatly appricate it !
I can't get the pics to upload

Photos cant be larger than 500k which is huge for website standards.

If you cant reduce them let me know and I'll private message you my email address and you can send them to me and Ill reduce them.

Let us all know what we can do to help you with regard to measurements, since a lot of the guys here are in different stages of restoration. I'm surprised some others haven't chimed in yet.

Sounds to me like you have your work cut out for you, I'm sure if the car didn't have such sentimental value you probably would scrap it.
But it is par for the course, that's one of the problems with shops these days they want top pay for extremely average work, and they all lie! Beatingadeadhorse
So do these pictures refer to measurements you need? Since my Mach 1 still has the chrome around the window and is completely intact I'm not sure how accurate mine would be.

Be clear my friend, would love to help you just need to know how I can.
Ok...even though the the chrome is on the window if you measure from the outside edge of the trim to the other outside edge at the locations where I have my tape that will ball park me...The first pic is from the edge of the axle bumper to the edge of the inner wheelhouse on the drivers side measuring up...The forth pic is facing toward the front of the car at the front edge of the axle bumper brkt. from the frame rail to the edge of the inner wheel house...forget about the fifth pic...Yes these are the measurements I need for now...Thanks again for the help !

Scott
Im measuring 45.5 all the way across for the glass from edge of chrome to edge of chrome. You look like your getting that now with your photo. Cant get to the "axle bumper to the edge of the inner wheelhouse on the drivers side measuring up...The forth pic is facing toward the front of the car at the front edge of the axle bumper brkt" Need to take tires off to get a true measurement.

Ill try to get to that on the weekend, hopefully one of these other guys will pop in that already have there's apart.

I'm disappointed in the members not helping out here! Feedback

Hi Scott and 72Mach1,
I've got a 72 that doesn't have the rear window, so I'll take a measurement for you tomorrow.
