is it common for these wheels to be a little out of round? Mine appears to be just a bit off. I am hoping they can fix it during the resto process.
I don't know I wish I had one! Mine doesn't.

Does anyone know what cars were given these? Was it only for the deluxe interior?

Here's one for sale on ebay that is tan looks in mint condition.

I memory serves me the rimblo was in the Mach 1's 70-73. Maybe the Grande. I the one you have listed is a very nice wheel that would look great in a Boss. I found mine off Ebay for a real good deal. About the only place I can find one.
I have a true 1972 Mach 1 and it does not have the Rimblow steering wheel.
I have a 73 Convert with the Deluxe Interior, but it did not come with the rim-blow wheel either. Must have been a separate option.
Great topic start cdesje! Goodpost

While we are on the subject of Rim Blow Steering Wheels I was doing a little research and ran across this site for anyone looking to Restore their Rim Blow Steering Wheel. Looks like they do awesome work and if you need a question answered this site looks like it could help. Anytime someone asks a question I try to get as much useful info as possible. If this site is suppose to be about Mach 1's we need to have the answers.

They can also detail your 1969-1973 rim blow steering wheel pad for
$125. This includes proper de-greasing, new color dye, cleaning
detailing of all hardware, and a new center emblem. This price
also applies to 1968 Mustang and Shelby center pads.

Thanks for sharing. I was under the impression all Mach 1's came with the rim blow wheel. You learn something new every day.

:)
Here is another option to send your wheel if you are looking ot restore it. http://www.therimblowbuddy.com

Their procedures seem about the same. I have been in contact wit Pam the owner and she has been very helpful. They also run specials from time to time so you might come out ahead.

Did you find out if yours is damaged or if the slight warp or bend is normal?

They are telling me there is some shrinking that occurs over the years which could contribute to the issue. Or it could be a result from an accident. They will know more once they have it in their possession. They were not able to tell for sure from the pics I sent them. I just hope I have not spent my funds on a wheel that can not be restored.
