This is a great survivor story and a little strange. Strange in that it has the standard hood and yet it is a MACH1 with all the other good stuff. You would think it would have a NACA or NASA hood or at least it would be specified in the Marti Report that it was specially ordered with the standard hood. Strange very strange.SCo_hmmthink Oh well why dwell Nice car love the color.

The car is definitely a super clean survivor plus it is very well optioned. Really, if you had to pick it apart I think the only thing someone could find wrong with it is the Milodon sticker on the oil pan and that is knit picking. Is that only a sticker or was the pan changed?

Sweet car...SSig_goodjob

Nice Nice Nice! Thmbsup It's amazing how some cars make it through the years and never seem to be mistreated or neglected, and others look like a shipwreck from a hundred years ago. Just an observation. JTS 71 Mach1

Very nice car. Dark green and argent make a nice color combo.
I see evidence that the front bumper, fenders and valance have been painted. Maybe the hood was changed then.
Nice find, looks well cared for - have fun with it.

Yeah it had some work done in 85. Mostly rust removal and some undercoating. Like I said he bought the car with that hood. I actually saw him today and asked him again to be sure. He said that was how he ordered it. He said that was his grandfathers dealership (that was something I didn't know) and he didn't like the scooped hood. So with this new info it could totally have been swapped at the dealer with little trouble or ordered special that way. I don't really care at this point but I still intend get a definitive answer....cause...ya know...nerd.
