Made in China

This was an interesting thread into imported junk. I lately, have found that I can produce alot of my own coarse metal work frame rails etc at home, and i choose the grade of steel I want, and if I need a little tricky bending or shaping, I have, can you beleive a black smith who can help. its nice to give your own community a piece of the pie too.

Still have some more sanding to do on this panel but I am pretty happy with the way it is turning out...and now it matches the other side. As Steve said made in China and made to fit in the USA!

I also got too excited about the fitment of my fiberglass hood. Once I installed the headlight doors I noticed the lines on the head light door did not follow the line of the edge of the hood. It's like the hood is about 1/4 too short. I have to think about this one because I hate to have to add fiberglass. Now I am airing out my dirty laundry!

The problem with Chinese or Korean parts is not the part - its the specification the part is made to.
A high quality part becomes so because of the standard the worker is working to, not the country he is working in.

Very fair statement...example Sony, high quality products. Second, I have a confession to make. When I replaced the quarters on my car, the rear valance I modified no longer fit. It ended up being the replacement quarter panels were not on correctly. I had to purchase another valance and it fit perfectly. So, I owe an apology to China on this one...sorry!
