Pine Tree Sap
#1
I work for a Ford Dealership here in the northeast, and on the lot are pine trees. I was getting ready a F-250 pickup for delivery that had pine sap on the hood. I was trying to figure out not to get scratches in the paint or ruin the clearcoat. The day before I was using 3Ms General Purpose Adhesive Remover (#38983) to remove adhesive residue on a lettered van. I sprayed some adhesive remover on a shop towel and gently rubbing the area and the pine sap came right off. It worked with dried sap as well. I then spray the area with some spray wax and it came out great. I hope this tip works well for you guys.

No Pine trees here but I do have some Mesquite sap to deal with.

THANKS FOR THE TIP. 3M ADHESIVE REMOVER WORKS WELL ON SILLY STRING THAT HAS BEEN BAKED ON TO A CONVERTIBLE TOP ALSO. MY BROTHER HAD JUST PUT A NEW TOP ON HIS 84 MUSTANG WHEN HE GOT MARRIED. CAR GOT "DECORATED" AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO IT.
