If you were given $5000.00 to spend on your Mach......

I would have a hard time spending $5000.00 on my 04 Mach, I would love to get a 2nd set of wheels so I could put my originals away in the basement :) Other then that I am happy with it being stock.

The 70 would be easier to spend money on. I'd love to pull the motor and re-do everything under the hood to perfect original condition. Fold down seat & shaker would also be some kewl options to add to it :)

I'd get the engine built to around 350hp and return the car to it's original white color. I'd take what's left and fix the A/C in the Porsche...

Seeing that I am just starting on my 1973 Mach 1, it would be for the whole car. Just spent 2.5K on parts so that money would probably go into the engine and painting of the car. If your offering, I'm willing to accept it....

$5000 would just about cover my drive train rehab - about $3500 into the engine for machine work and go-fast goodies, rebuild the tranny, rebuild the rear axle, swap in rear discs, and possibly rebuild the front suspension.

Honestly, $5K is going to get soaked up and surpassed in a major hurry with my project.

Definitely a Detroit Locker and a bigger cam. I think $5K in Aussie $$ would do that just perfect!

$5000.00 First theres the body work. Not building a trailer queen so just simple weld in patches. Definetly gonna strenghten the undercarriage, so fully welded in frame connectors. Then comes the 71 Tbird donor for the 429 Thunderjet! 45,000 Mile original still running motor. Gonna add a mutha thumper cam, good aluminum 4 barrell intake and the largest Edelbrock carb possible, headers. Would like to go with a 5 spd but not sure if I can afford one to handle the torque a warmed over 429 can produce. Full rebuild of the suspension. Up front one of the Global West complete suspension kits to bring the handling up to par. Redo the interior to pretty much stock, maybe some Dakota digital guages. That should easily take care of $5000.00 pretty quick and thats with me doing every thing myself! Did I hear anyone talking about a loan? HA HA! Just kidding.

$5k and HAD to spend on my Mach.

Okay.

Been debating on lowering... (couple hundred $$)
then...

I am happy with my Mach, goes JUST the way I like it, (get a replacement set of rubber) the remaining $$s would go to a gas card.

Free gas for a 'few' miles! RockxtremeBig Grin
