Im in the process of accumulating my interior pieces. As many Mach 1 owners know, even if you find a 100% rust free car, the interior pieces were not meant to last the test of time. They become brittle and flaky, at least that's the situation Im finding myself in.
My question here is, have any of you found reproduction parts for the image below, and what is your opinion of those parts.
If you have purchased these pieces how was fit? What did you like least about the parts? Where did you buy your parts?
I used an interior black paint to refresh my rear quarter interior panels. It turned out OK, but I may eventually go with reproduction panels. I don't have any pictures, but will try to take some soon.
I found these in the catalog from CJ Pony Parts.com. Maybe they can send you better pictures. Mine are OK except for the speakers that I mounted in the front of them years ago. I enjoy the speakers though, so they will stay as is for now. Let us know what you find. I have purchased interior parts(dashpad, seat covers, and carpets) from Paddock and they were excellent. The fit was perfect and they looked just like original. Paddock does not list these panels.
fhunteman, so you purchased a set from CJ Pony parts and they installed with no issues at all? Ive heard the after market ones flat out don't fit correctly?
No, I have not purchased these parts, I just saw them in the catalog. Sorry about the confusion. I still have the original ones that I cut speaker holes in when I was young. I have seen these parts at the big Ford swap meet in Columbus, Ohio in the past, although there are a lot more from 69-70 models. The ones there are original used parts in different conditions. I plan on going back to Columbus the first weekend in April. I always keep an eye out for 71-73 parts when I am there.
I have purchased a set from CJ in hoping to have something better than my originals. They are made out of what they call ABS plastic. They are a thinner material that has a rough surface. They don't come with the holes for the felt trim on the top.
I did not like them. But im very perticular. I was unhappy with the surface and how it did not match the rest and also they just required a lot of work to look nice for the price.

I'm very particular in my parts as well. That's why I'm hoping someone has a good recommendation. I appreciate your input.
