Not much around Ford counts as sacred, but the name "Boss 302" may well be. There have been Mustang Mach 1s that didn't come with V8s, Mustang Cobras that only had 120 horsepower aboard, and the company even sold a "GT350" during the 1984 model year that wasn't much more than some tape stripes. But Ford hasn't used the name Boss 302 since way back in 1970 when the original left production. And Ford hasn't built a Boss Mustang of any sort since the 1971 Boss 351. Until, that is, the all-new 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302.

Well it seems you've been paying attention. The car world, and Ford have gone through some very trying times. I remember 80's Chevrolet Squad cars that couldn't hit the 85 MPH on the speedo. And this was a Pursuit Package! My buddy who was a cop in Oklahoma said it was miserable. He said you didn't dare try to chase anybody. Cause a good Pinto could outrun you!
All the car companies could do was live with the restrictions the "Government" shoved down their throats. And the performance suffered miserably. Now we have the Technology to overcome all that, and have huge 400+ horsepower cars for grocery getters! Not to mention Shelby Mustang's, Hellcats, etc. with well over 700hp, and a Frickin Warranty! Yeah the "Boss" had been absent for a lot of years. But at least now, We / Ford have something worthy to put it on.

I simply think it should be able to destroy a Hellcat. Just sayin. Nough Said!
