Hi there - just joined the forum. Bought a '69 Mach 1 428 SCJ in Jan. C6 with 4:30 rear in
Indian Fire Red over Black int. Glad to be on board and looking to learn and share.
That Indian Fire Red is a beautiful color. My dad had a 65 Fastback painted almost identically to your Mach1, the only difference was the roof, and deck lid were also Matte Black, not just the hood. Was a very pretty car. Yours is Gorgeous! Was it fully restored when you bought it? Good Luck with it, and enjoy the site, lots of good people, and lots of info.
Nice car Terry. I was turning about 4200 rpms on the highway in mine at 65 mph. I have 3:91 gears. I put the gear vendors in to preserve stock pieces and ordered a new drive shaft from Strange Engineering. Now I can cruise 70-80 mph at 3400 rpms. Really saves the wear and tear on the engine and is all bolt on. Run a few wires under console, can’t even tell.
