ABS Control Module
#1
ABS light on and traction control light on.  Have error C1145 and C1266.  Replaced the front right wheel speed sensor, still have both codes.  I'm guessing next step is to replace the ABS control module?  Is there a good place to send the old one in to get remanufactured, or send in to get a remanufactured pard?  I don't want to just grab one on e-bay--who knows if it will be good.

Also, any good videos around to show how to actually do it?  The one I found had a broken link.

Thanks. Crazy

Hey Stuffbert, Welcome

It would help if you'd give us some idea of what you're working on, and we'll know if we can help you. This site is about the Mach 1 Mustangs. Which were produced in 1969 through 1973, then again in 1978, then again in 2003, and 2004. I'm just guessing you must have a 2003, or 2004 as those are the only years that could have had antilock brakes, to my knowledge. So help us out, and tell us what you've got, and we'll see what we can do.

After a quick look on the internet. It showed c1145 is for the right front wheel speed sensor. You said you replaced it. So 1 of 2 things. You didn't install it correctly, I believe that would be the older style that you had to install it into the housing, and tap it gently until it touches the back / tone wheel on the rotor. It's been a very long time since I've messed with one that old. #2 if installed correctly you can run an ohm test on the sensor, I believe it should have about 1200 to 1400 ohms. If it shows an open the wires are broke somewhere. The other test you can do is put your multi meter on the lowest dc volt scale and spin the wheel for that sensor and you should get a voltage reading to show it is close enough to the tone wheel and is reading it. If you get no reading. you may have a broken or damaged tone wheel. As for the c1266 it would appear as that is going to require a new module. I don't have a clue if there is any one who remanufactures them ????? Try Rock Auto.com as they have just about everything, and are quite reasonable. Good Luck
