JTS, I have been kind of busy but not too busy. The car has been really friendly as far as taken it apart. It is amazing that not one bolt has given me a hard time.
As far the motor I am swapping with my friend, it is a 302, bored .30 over, forged pistons, ARP studs, windage tray, aluminum 351 heads, and roller cam. The motor is not stroked so I would say it's more hopped up than radical. He bought the car as an unfinished project from his brother and his brother had built the motor. He said he wants to swap with me because the performance in the motor is in the higher rpm's where he typically doesn't drive, which makes sense. It's definitely a huge cost savings for me. He is great guy!
Don't be fooled by the clean bell housing, we bolted that on so we could compression test the motor. I had removed the automatic transmission before it crossed our minds to do this test. Compression checked good in all cylinders.
On Monday, the top loader will come out of the Mustang and the T-10 will go in. As much as I want to keep the top loader in the Mustang I think it will serve the bigger Fairlane much better.
