SO WHO STILL COMES HERE?

First of all, thank you for developing the site. It has certainly provided me hours of enjoyment. I try to share as much as I can here. It would be nice if other members could post more of what they have going on...car shows, cruises, even washing their car (LOL). I love to see pictures.

Is it possible to include a parts for sale and wanted section here on the site. It would be a nice addition and think would increase traffic here. Just a thought.

I just got back from a cruise night and this one caught my attention. I know it is not a Mustang motor but it was the force to be reckoned with in the day, the 426 Hemi. The current month of Hemmings Muscle Machines has a great article on the motor.

Nice picture. I also like Mopars. Primarily the 1970-1972 E-bodies, Challengers and Barracudas. I had a 1972 Challenger when in high school. I built and installed a mild 440 and 727 Torqueflight trans in it. It was fun, but not as fast as you'd expect from a big motor. On a positive note for you, your Fairlane with that 302 should give a 440 or 426 Hemi a good run and likely beat one in a 1/8 or 1/4 mile race. It takes a lot of money to make a big block Mopar run good. Not very good OEM cylinder head designs and extremely heavy rotating assemblies.

Thank you for the inspiration but I don't have any racing experience. The "L" will have to go in my lane.

His brother wrecked the car many years ago and kept the engine. Then purchased a project that someone started and bailed. The car was a Mach 1 sorry to say. You could tell the guy was not a professional car restorer. Really cool.

Definitely an impressive motor. I would like the car more if it had the stock intake with the dual carbs sitting under the hood. I just think it would be much cooler to pop the hood and see that massive 429 rather than getting a sneak preview of it popping through the hood. I must be getting old.

Dave R. is still here and glad this site is still up and running. As my project is done or as done as these projects get, I have fewer questions and lean towards looking at questions that other members have and hope I may be able to shed some light onto their issues. Keep up the good to everyone involved. Dave R.

I didn't think these projects were ever completed. Wait a few months. There will be something you'll want to change, try to improve, etc.

For some reason if it is truly finished. Now the project switches from restoration to preservation. They will need maintenance regardless of whether they are driven or not. Rubber parts, cooling system, brake hydraulics, bare metal parts, and probably other stuff, deteriorates and corrodes just sitting in the garage and at about the same rate.

I realize that these cars are ongoing projects and are never truly finished. There is just less on the "to do" list. Hopefully. Dave R.

Less to do on the "to do" list, that is certainly true.

I'm still here, working out some details on my end, lots has changed in the online world. things I used on the site either cost now or are gone completely.
I was using a programmer or thought I was, paid him, 150 bucks to help me out and he disappeared after I gave him money last week, luckily I paid him via PayPal, Paypal reimbursed me.

Terrible. I am glad to hear you were reimbursed by Paypal. Thank you for the work you do on the site. Much appreciated!
