Yes. I'm thinking that one ride will be suffice. I would hate to spend a whole bucket load of cash and feel really let down. I drove my cousin's 85 when new and I don't remember being totally awed.

I believe that until you get to the very late models with the Zo6 etc. which are not so much production car, as they are related to a Can Am racer. They were very lackluster cars Now they are something to be reckoned with. But in typical Chevrolet fashion they want to stack up they're virtual "race car" against everyone else's modified street cars. I say lets compare apples to apples and see what we get. JTS 71 Mach1

The 75 Vette rides better than my 65 Mustang ever could. I got a deal on the Vette it has low miles. Runs great, stock whats stock?
I stopped a long time ago disliking cars because they weren't Mustangs. Ive driven cars that are a lot better and faster than Mustangs.
I love ALL cool cars no matter who manufactured them.
This Vette will kick the crap out of most modern Mustang GTs , dyno 535hp
Don't get me wrong I love Mustangs, but they are not the only car I like.
I make all the vehicles I have my own, and the experiences Ive had I wouldn't change for a second.

Well 535Hp, ought to help. Sorry I'm not a Vette lover. Most guys who had them were "Aholes" and thought they were Mario Andretti, just cause they had a Vette. I guess I still attach that stigma to them now. The real problem they had. Was they were very heavy due to the fact they had to have a very large framework to totally support the fiberglass body as the body panels were not stressed members and added no strength to the structure. They weighed somewhere around 4500 lbs or about the same as a Chevelle. JTS 71 Mach1
Ps, I like any car that is down well. No matter the brand, BUT With a Last Name Like "SHELBY" To worship anything but a Ford / Mach1 would be Blasphemy!

Seriously you cant be serious. I love my Shelby, but would I get rid of it for a Ford GT? in a heartbeat.
My love is fixing any sports car up, taking it from a rough car and turning it into something people drool over, that's what I love.
