I bought hooker super comp 6116 ceramic headers with 3" collector. How do I conect this to existing 2 1/4 inch exhaust pipe? using a reducer?

They make reducers that bolt to the header collector. If you have original power steering you'll need a drop bracket for the ram to clear the header on the drivers side. If you install one, check it periodically. It's very common for the increased leverage from the longer bracket to tear the thread inserts out of the frame. I've seen it happen. Unless your going after every last horse power I prefer short or mid length headers to avoid that issue.
JBA headers makes the most robust looking drop bracket I've seen. They've managed to improve on the design all other header manufacturers offer.

I am now installing hooker supercomp 6116 but it doesn't fit into my 1969 mach 1 351w. It doesn't look like enough clearing from 3rd exhaust port to engine bay. The tube comes out too wide.

Are you saying it's hitting while you are installing, or hitting after being bolted in?

Hitting while I am installing. On drivers side with engine in, there isnt enought room to go over. My car is about couple feet from the ground and not enough room to go under. It hits. Do i need to put the car on a lift and go from under with header in vertical position?

It has been years since I have done what your are attempting to do so I am probably not of that much help. More than anything my response is to encourage.
Yes, the headers will need to go in from below. Yes, it will be frustrating. No you will not be able to get them in without nicks on the headers, nicks on the car and nicks on your hands.
Once they are in place do make sure that gaskets are sitting in the proper place and tighten from the middle out. Once the car has run (and cooled back down) retighten the header bolts.
Yes, you will conquer the task and you will be pleased with the outcome. Let us know of your eventual success.

Maybe if you unbolt the drivers side motor mount (the long through bolt) and loosen the passenger side mount, then lift up the drivers side of the engine. That should get you more room to slip them in. That's a fairly common scenario.

Rsmach1, you might want to stop or cut back on the smoking.
