I think there are Mach 1's out there for $19k but remember that is the lower of the range. I think there are more Mach 1's out there closer to $25k.
Here is a link to a an S code (not a Mach 1) on a local Craigslist.

The car looks really clean but its been listed forever at $32k. If it were a Mach 1 it would probably would be gone!

I agree Barrett Jackson's auctions have added to the high prices of these cars. I can't watch those auctions anymore. It's too hard to watch the ridiculous selling prices of some of those cars.
I watch Counting Cars occasionally. I will say, of all those television shows, he seems to pay the highest price when buying a car. At least he doesn't make the seller feel they have been taken advantage of and you know he truly loves cars. However, he does sell the cars for more than I think they are worth.
Mustangmike, You weren't too critical. I still inclined to think some opinion differences stem from how many of these cars are in your area. I too have sold off most of my leftover parts as well. Like you, I try to be fair with the price because I know first hand how expensive restoration can get. When selling used parts on EBay, it seems people are willing to pay about 60%to 65% percent of the cost of a new repro part not including shipping. So I'm usually okay with that. Most people don't care about repro or original. I'm the opposite. I'll always take a fair condition or better usable original part over a shiny new repro part.
Best Regards,
Mike

I am from NJ but bought by mach 1 in PA. The paint job was in pretty good shape. The only things wrong with it were loose shifter, fuel/Temp gauges not working, no seat belts, and engine burning oil. I fixed all the gauge issues and shifter. I even replaced valve seals on engine but still burns a little bit of oil. Other than what I mentioned, everything else works fine. Also has original power brakes. Remember I searched for two years. It was a toss up between gto convertible and fastback since I like both cars but fastback is higher on my list.
