4-Link G-Link Suspension 1971-73 Mach 1
#1
One of my Youtube channels that I subscribe to has answered my prayers. A 4-Link G-Link Suspension 1971-73 Mach 1 that will bolt on with little fabrication mods.Eusa_dance A g-Link Canted-4-Bar Suspension System from Total Control Products for the 1964-1970 Mustang will work on the 71-73 models (without staggered shocks) using a small adapter. Starts around $2000.00. A little high in my opinion with the upgrades I will be wanting with this kit. This will be a purchase I will be making in the near future.

Yes, I subscribed to autoedit as well and saw that update the other day.

I am glad to see that Total Control is making products for the 71-73's although I have to agree with you that 2k is a bit high for my budget.

I am thankful for the option though.

I like it! It looks like an awesome product and relatively easy install (at least in the video). TCP has a excellent reputation in modified suspensions upgrades so I would definitely consider this product.

Thank you for sharing the link...thoroughly enjoyed the video!

Very cool looking setup. It should help keep the rear end planted. I'd be very interested in how it performs when done. Cause if you all remember Chevy has used the four link/coil spring style suspension for years "69 Chevelle" and they were notorious for wheel hop, when you jumped on it hard. Sad So will be curious how an updated version works in real life. JTS 71 Mach1

Wheel hop is a concern of mine but I can always adjust that out. I've seen the kit on a 69 Mach 1 with a 460 big block under the hood and it was awesome. No wheel hop and pulled the line perfectly straight. No need to even hold the wheel. Riding on rails. He had the quad adjustable coil overs and mid frame connectors welded in. Not Cheap! I'll go with the dual adjusters and I've already welded in my frame connectors while replacing the driver side front Floor pan.

It sounds like you have done your research. Please post pictures of the installation when you finally make the purchase. Look forward to it!

Hey Mustang Mike. I most certainly will. I'm starting a full tear down now I'll have tons of pics soon. Made an order with eastwood on some epoxy primer and fast etch and paint removing pads. Boy these Mustang bills sure do add up. I've got to get a new cowl. I see its available with non A/C. Don't know if that applies with new style A/C systems or not. Still gotta research that.

That would be great...I would enjoy seeing those pictures/work! As far as bills adding up, one thing I did with my car was make purchases in bulk. In other words, I would purchase enough parts at one time to save on shipping costs. Second, I also tried to negotiate volume discounts with suppliers. Doing it this way, you don't see a million purchases and you have all the parts you need on hand. It may be a big check to write but at least you won't have to write another one for some time.

I'm trying exactly that. Going to get the front and rear suspension at the same time from TCP. Power disc brake conversion from manual drum and cowl, quarter panel, hood and dash pad\ interior parts at the same time as well. The passenger side quarter has had a crap job and I'll do a full quarter swap. I'm looking for a new standard hood for a 73 to make a shaker out of. I can only find the nasa hoods which I don't want. Any suggestions would be great.

I like the idea.

I would imagine that you want to find one close to your own location. If not, I am sure Don Witt at Ohio Mustang Supply should have one. They shouldn't be too hard to find - even I have one although I am not too sure of it's condition.
