I purchased this car when I was 13 with lawn mowing money back in 1981! Still drive it today!

Welcome to the site...Very nice car and well earned! Previously their was a post titled "Remember When" So remember when you could mow lawns and shovel snow to save up enough money to buy your first car.

WOW! that is a nice 69 Mach1. I'm sure as Steven said it didn't look quite that good in 1981 when you got it, Way to go for hanging onto it, for all these years. JTS 71 Mach1

Believe or not, it didn't look bad when I got it!! Here is a picture of the car in 1982 :)

Looks like the seller took very good care of the car for the first 13 years. Do you remember what motived the owner to sell?

It didn't look exactly like that when I picked it up a year and a half earlier. My dad and I worked on it almost every day during that time to get it to the condition in that picture. Seller was an older lady whose husband passed away and wanted the car to go to someone that would take care of it :)
