Need help pricing my 72 Mach1 that I'm about to sell.

Hi everyone! I really need the help pricing my mustang 1972 Mach1 351C Automatic. I'm about to put my car on Ebay and I'm trying to find out how much this car is worth? let me give you a little description and see if you guys can help me with bold figure?

I got this car for my son last year because he is going to be driving next year and I wanted to do a project with him. Well he is just like me and he is in love with one of my cars that I have a 1972 Firebird Formula 400 and he has beg me that he would do anything to have the Formula and I have been able to talk him in to fixing this Mach1. He has been helping me a lot with the Formula and I believe is time to let him have it so he can fully work on his dream car.

This is what a got a 72 Mach one that has a great body shape and runs good but the paint that is on the car right now it looks like someone that has never paint in their life painted this car. I didn't buy this car with money because I trade in a car that I had in the pass and they gave me this car plus some cash and I would love to find out what I can get for this car so I don't give it away or trying to rip someone else. I have few extra parts from my 73 Mustang because I upgrade my car to the deluxe interior but this parts are amazing and new looking!

Any help would be amazing!

I'd probably price it at around 20 grand or higher and see how it goes. You can always go down but not up. Start high and if no bites reduce it.

Man, I'm hoping to get anywhere from $8,000 to $10,000. Do you think this is asking to much? I'm going to put it with no reserve and see what happens. Here is a picture of the vin number and I picture of the car that me and my son have been fixing since last year.

Up here in New England nice solid mustangs like yours fetch pretty good money 15 to 20 grand isn't out of the question. I don't know your location but down south or out west you'll find that number to be lower. A car is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. If you find the right person or better yet persons that number can climb significantly. Good luck and if your not in a hurry to sell you'll have a better chance of finding that person.

+1 on mrmach1. The only thing that REALLY kills a car price is the dreaded RUST. That is SOOOooooooo expensive to get rid of. Rebuild an engine and it is good. Carve up a body to de-rust it and the problems multiply.
I should have been born in the USA (good song title, maybe).
Out here a Mustang is worth a kings ransom plus an arm or leg.

Your $ 8,000 is more realistic the the other guys $20,000
It is an H code with standard interior , needing paint, panel alinement, full interior, so it might be worth $ 20,000 when it's done.
I think your idea of 8K starting bid might bring some interest
Good luck

Thank you! I'm going to start the bid at $1.00 and hope it will reach to $8,000. Because whoever buys this car is going to sink around $10,000 to leave it in great condition and it could worth $20 to $25.

Thanks for all the comments! If anyone interest in the car I'm going to put it on eBay today or tomorrow!
